In June of 2004, I purchased a 1969 Ford Torino Talladega on EBay. I knew it wasn’t in the best shape and this would be a great opportunity to develop my skills as a mechanic. I always wanted a project car and I wanted one that was a little different than everyone else. My dream car has always been a 1969 Hemi powered Dodge Daytona Charger. Of course I don’t have that kind of money and I thought the Talladega was a sort of mysterious car, very underrated and under appreciated. I had no idea what I was about to get in to. This website goes into great detail about the Talladega and the journey I have had rebuilding the car. To complicate things further, I purchased a second car to “enjoy” while the project was ongoing. Now I have two projects. Let me also state for the record that I am not a professional mechanic or fabricator. I’m a Sales and Marketing person that was looking for a hobby. I have learned a great deal and wish to share my experience with you. I hope the information provided by this website will help those with projects of their own. |
